Selected European workshops produce unvarnished instrument blanks according to our specifications. We check them thoroughly and tonally improve them, varnished them, and finally make them ready to play.
This allows us to offer you European quality instruments with our very personal signature and exceptionally good sound at affordable prices. We are also happy to respond to your wishes and ideas within the scope of possibilities.
At the moment there is a waiting list because also in these instruments we put a lot of working hours. So we can not serve all requests immediately. Just let us know what instrument you are looking for and as soon as it is your turn, we will contact you and you can come by for a no-obligation tryout.
To bridge the waiting time well, we are happy to provide you with a renatl instrument.
(Of course, you will get a credit for all rentals paid up to that point when you eventually purchase your instrument).
These instruments are special because they bear our individual artistic and tonal signature!
Check and optimize the sound
As soon as the instrument blanks reach us, we check them: are the proportions correct? Are all the glued joints clean and stable? Does the wood quality meet our requirements?
The tonal revision follows. The same methods are used as with our master instruments.
Lackieren und montieren
Lackiert werden unsere Werkstattinstrumente mit etlichen sehr dünnen Schichten unseres selbstgekochten Öllackes. Ein guter Lack ist essenziell, nicht nur für das Aussehen, sondern auch für den Klang. Da darf dieser Prozess auch schonmal etwas Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.
Mit größter Sorgfalt machen wir zuletzt Ihr Instrument spielfertig.
Wünsche bezüglich des Lackbildes und des Materials für Wirbel, Saitenhalter, Griffbrett, etc. berücksichtigen wir gerne.
Erklärung über die verwendeten Materialien
Das CITES Artenschutzabkommen betrifft leider mittlerweile viele der im Geigen- und Bogenbau verwendeten Materialien. (Leider, nicht weil es mit Aufwand verbunden ist, sondern leider, weil es dazu gekommen ist, dass Arten geschützt werden müssen, damit sie nicht gänzlich verschwinden.)
Damit Sie beruhigt reisen können und es zu keinen Missverständnissen mit dem Zoll über die Art und die Herkunft der verwendeten Materialien kommt, gibt es bei den Instrumenten, die in oder für unserer Werkstatt gebaut wurden, immer eine international gültige “Declaration of materials” dazu.
Damit das Musizieren Freude macht, braucht es ein Instrument mit dem Sie sich musikalisch weiter entwickeln können.
